My name is Goran Cvek and I live in a corner of Europe called Istria, in Croatia.

I have been working as a personal tour guide/tour leader for fourteen years now- touring Italy and most countries of south-eastern Europe.

I studied law at Zagreb University, but as it turned out that was not to be my calling.

I have dedicated the last fifteen years of my life to travelling extensively, studying languages and sharing my knowledge&experience with people who want to know more about the place I call home.

I am a soul in love with history, geography, architecture, culture and languages.

Besides Croatian and Italian which are my mother-tongues, I am fluent in  English, Spanish, French and Portuguese and have been delivering tours in these language for several years now.

The culture of the region of Istria encompasses the intricate cultural, culinary, architectural and spiritual heritage of civilisations crossing their paths on the shores of the Adriatic. This area preserves remains of the ancient Histri culture frome the iron age, roman structures, bizantyne monuments, venitian romanesque and gothic buildings, medieval church frescoes and renaissance basilicas.

Istria is the only place where two major european cultures meet: the slavic/croatian and the latino/italian.

We have a Unesco heritage site, the only bizantyne basilica in Croatia.

We have world class olive oils and wines, a distinctive cuisine based on locally grown vegetables, home made pasta, mushrooms, truffles, wild asparagus, fresh fish and venison.

With a guide at your service, who was born here and who has lived most of his life here,  you will get to know the region well, learn to appreciate it’s history and culture.

With a guide you will be left with no questions or doubts and at any given moment you will have the correct information provided.

With a guide you will go to places very often only us, the locals, know about and you will know what to do and where to go/eat during your stay.

I know how to present the culture of a region I always carry in my heart – I will adapt it to your interests and personal wishes.

Let’s have a cappuccino together, in Rovinj- the most beautiful little and undiscovered town of Europe.

Your guide is waiting just for you.
